DOSE TWO won Silver for the Best Hiphop Group category at the Voize Indie Music Awards! It's our first ever award so you can imagine how hysterical we got. Well, maybe not hysterical...but we felt pretty damn honoured. We owe this to the peeps that's been sowing us love since day one; the 22s, Tat, our fam and girls and you, thanks a mil.
The event was held @ Titanium Club in Phileo Damansara; it was fresh seeing so many esteemed local acts congregating together , plus the free flow helped. =)
It was awkward that the winners weren't allowed to speech up anything though, but overall the event was ambitious. Big ups to VOIZE for supporting the indie industry, uppin' for VIMA 2009!
Congrats to all winners. Plus we have to say it feels reeaal nice being around as a crew fr only 4 years and being placed in the top 3 spot with local Hiphop veterans, The Rebel Scum and Phlowtron. Congrats fellas.
A LIL LIL SOMETHING EXTRA SPICY
Below are a set of food-themed interviews conducted by VIMA partners Friedchillies.com + i-Eat-Music.
Amongst those interviewed: The Rebel Scum, DJ Ad Voc, Pot, Rithan from Deja Voodoo Spells and CODA.

whutsgoooood!
now we know we haven't been posting or blogging much with life's essential commitments throwing us up and about everyday. So to make life simpler, we've opted for our very own videoblog where you'll get the latest updates streamin' in technicolor on your monitors! *SCHWIIING!!*
with that said, show us some love on youtube.com/dose2tv
expect to see a fun share of random quirkiness, 3am freestyles and random features of the good whacky people we hang with. All in the name of good healthy Malaysian hiphop life!
take a peek. holla!
Yes yes, i know we've been quiet. Simply because we've been up to alot of no good goodies!
We had a couple of shows here and there from Sanctuary the Curve to opening for Daughtry alongside Liang.
We were also invited to the Asics-Onitsuka Tiger launch in Zouk and Hennessy's Flo-Rida showcase thanks to the very sexy people from Juice! (Free flow baby! We're grateful.)
The boys from Flow Fam Singapore was up in KL for some catching up + they'll be here again this weekend for a lil something something you'll read about soon. Sleeq+ Rich J fans, rejoice!
And to top it all off, we've been planning a side project that will materialize sooner than you can say 'whodotheytinktheyaretheseamazinghiphopduolikewhoa' in one breath! This we promise to be something worth copping especially for you hiphop heads out there. Beddawatchout!
Naturally, we're keeping everything under wraps for now. But it's going to be a very exciting second half for 2008.
To spark it off, our homegirl Hunny Madu (Hunnymadu.com) will be performing at the Sunrise Jazz Festival this Saturday and she is having Dose Two up for a song. Nothing we like better than getting it on with a dope band and a lady that really holds it down. So if you're not heading to the MTV Asia Awards, or you prefer a chilled Saturday night over a moshpit, drop by and treat yourself to a new kind of jazz. =)
Date: 2nd August 2008
Venue: Mont Kiara (the big circle)
Time: 9pm onwards
Event: Sunrise Jazz Fest 2008.
Other acts include; Karen Nunis Blackstone and Phunk Mob.

This post is a salute to a Malaysian emcee that was part of duo that changed the face of Hiphop in this region.
Both emcees from TooPhat have ventured into their respective solo projects; and here is Malique's. Being in hiatus for quite awhile, it's no surprise how it has become one of the most highly anticipated Hiphop album this year.
Both Naqib and I have had the privilege to catch Malique in his full form during the making of this album and I have to say the final product is nothing short of a classic - exceeding our very high expectations (see what happens when you get the right people in the right mix?)
Malique's infamous perfectionist ways is evident in the quality of this indie effort(Qarma Records) and it's apparent upon unfolding the album sleeve itself (what can i say? i appreciate good meticulous visual works).
Musically, both discs speaks volumes. From a song for everyone, to a song best cherished alone, 'OK' the album is like a buffet of insights and stories. I believe the album will be winning over many non-Hiphop listeners and even influence and sprout a new generation of local emcees.
On a personal level, I'll keep it short - shit's inspirational.
Go get yours.
