This took a good 6 months to make. It was difficult trying to get everyone together on the same page, furthermore with live instrumentation. ;)
But after all that's said and done, i thought it was well worth it. Finally.

Excuse the title, but since the leak online, Jay-Z's been on the playlist for quite awhile. i mean, you feel me right? ;)

Heyro!

First up, shout out to the mad mad people from Kota Kinabalu for making Fresh Flows 2 a success! It was our first Merdeka show in KK and we sure as hell got squeezed dry! *hats off*
You peeps really know how to party hard (and supper)! ;)
Now to get acquianted with the rest of Borneo bah.

Heard Merdeka was rather quiet this year in the peninsular. Also heard our Flow Fam bros, Mika, Sleeq and Rich J killed it in Kartel's Hiphop Merdeka gig at Mist. Best believe it. ;)

Woke up at 7am today and i had a text message reading the King of Pop has passed on.
It's one of those things that you didn't think you'd care or be bothered about, until it actually hits you and kaboom! You're taken aback. I didnt think much of it honestly, but it began to sink in while i was on the road and radio stations were having MJ tributes....then, kaboom.

Any 80's baby would remember growing up watching Billie Jean, Thriller and Bad; wannabe dancing, crotch-grabbing, sky-pointing like Michael- the guys at least (dont act like you didnt fellas). The ladies, well....JT, Chris Brown and even Usher got their whole swag from MJ, so that's self-explanatory.
Whatever it is about the man; his moves, his songs, his history...everyone knew Michael Jackson. But to hear the originator's gone, at just 50? That's not the way I'd imagine MJ to go.

It's a sad day. Always figured he'd rise above the media, industry and critics and come back with one last classic before bowing out like Carlito you know. heh, life is such.

But Mikey,
You're in the books and that was quite a run.
Thanks for the inspiration, the music, the dance and the dream buddy. Rest in peace, you will be missed.
