Seriously, if you know how we do - you wouldn't wanna miss this!
catch you guys there on the 22nd?
It's Flow Fam baby.
We apologize for being absent on the blog for so long. We've been busy in the studio finishing up the album with numerous shows around KL and Selangor - From Sunway College to Sungei Wang and of course, Poppy Garden two weeks back.
That last show was massive, taking to account that it was a DJ Jazzy Jeff Special and yours truly were given the chance to open the show along with the funky-electro-hellluva-girl, Arafah.
Below is a video a friend managed to capture. You could look up for more on facebook...but this one's worth the peek.
It's a song call 'Tari-Tari' and will appear on the album.
22s up!
To all muslims everywhere,
have a safe and blessed Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir Batin if we've stepped on any toes yea?
you know what they say about guys with big feet. =) Maaf seribu maaf.

Have you heard about the crisis in Burma?
Burma is ruled by one of the worst military dictatorships in the world. Last month Buddhist monks and nuns began marching and chanting prayers to call for democracy. The protests spread and hundreds of thousands of Burmese people joined in -- but they've been brutally attacked by the military regime.
Dose Two just signed a petition calling on Burma's powerful ally China and the UN security council to step in and pressure Burma's rulers to stop the killing. The petition has exploded to over 500,000 signatures in a few days and is being advertised in newspapers around the world, delivered to the UN Security Council, and broadcast to the Burmese people by radio. We're trying to get to 1 million signatures this week, sign below and tell people about this. every voice counts in making a difference.

That's the time and i'm pretty damn blazed up at Sona's place.
Our producer's constructing a new track, me I was finalizing the lyrics to a song we're doing tomorrow. Yup, back to the studio for another 3 weeks of refining. Then we're good fr a proper full album review.
The song we're doing tmrw however, might not be on the album....nor even the net.
We both felt it had an album-like potential, but i dont know, might not gel as its a wee bit...raw? maybe a compilation. But we'll see. Might even get a Singapore cat or two on em'. Flow Fam...naturally.
Anyway, sorry that we haven't been blogging as much. Naqib's classes commenced again and i'm as always caught up in office. Matter of fact, Ramadhan's been a chilled month for us musically. I guess it help gives us breathing space before we return and review the album. We were recording a good 2 months straight every damn week,2-3 nights in a row at times. It's not easy ( ask KLG Sqwad, they know what i mean hella well).
And since Ramadhan's in the picture, we (meaning Dose Two) would like to wish all our muslim friends and fam a safe and peaceful Ramadhan. Jangan tak puasa dan jangan tak sahur gak! Raya's at the corner...i'm anticipating the lemangs and rendangs and duit rayas, then it's diwali, then xmas then cny. Feels good to be in Malaysia (and Singapore too i reckon) doesnt it? =)
Anyhoo, i'm getting woozy. Gonna take a drag of tobac and gear home. If you're still up waiting for Sahur and ran out of sites to visit, check out rogueradio.blogspot.com for a Malaysian fix on hiphop (brought to you by the good people of Rogue Squadron) OR www.whiteninjacomics.com for some random whacky stoner humour.
=)
be good y'all.
and remember to always drop by dosetwo.vox.com for exciting and thrillin updates on your favourrrrite Gentlemanly Poets and Ordinary Heroes.
heh.

Before i go on blabbering about the show, we'd like to congratulate Beat Society for successfully making yet another episode of Platform (7 this time) a helluva good show (and of course, for having us down). We really felt the hospitality from the BS and the non-BS peeps that showed us love(you guys know who you are...heaven knows to name everyone would take me hours). Our love for Singapore grows more and more with every trip thanks to you all. Heads up to that!
anyway, let me begin,
Despite the initial plan of having Iman and Mika join us fr this trip, Naqib and I made our way to Lioncity on friday morning, arriving just in time for lunch. There, checked in. funky hotel. nuff said. "/
we managed to meet up the 22 sg crew later on, Sleeq and Young Rich. The next time the same bunch were to see each other again was the day after, the gig at Double O - Platform 7.
What we really notice in Singapore that the general Malaysian events lack are timing. Shit started on the dot and ell' it was fine. Other Malaysian acts that was in the house included The Rebel Scum and Altimet, and of course there was the familiar Singapore hiphop heads, Psyke (we be ancitipating the next drop guys), heard Azreal and Lene was around(Qube told me only the next day, sorry wei), Phatnatrix + Syaheed (pun gua dengar tapi tak nampak), Sleeq and Richard, Zul Maestro(illest beatboxer, ever mafaka), Nthral, Krayzie Star and the list goes on. The cats here show love when love's requested in shows. much respect!
If you didnt already know, Platform is an annual event organised by Beat Society in search fr the next big thing in Sigaporean Hiphop. Artist that have sprouted from the Platform series includes Phatnatrix, Freaky Z(whose contribution to sg hiphop was honoured that night), and Flow Fam's latest recruit Akeem( www.myspace.com/nurakeem ), the Platform 6 Champ. 22s up!
This year's round of hopefuls were aight. It was a competition of skills, stage presence and of course, delivery. Sheerz, a girl duo even managed to diss Dose Two! haha how cute. props to that. Dose Two did a set of 3 songs, all frm the upcoming debut, we needed to reintroduce ourselves since the last time we were in sg, we were still '3Flow' - Crowd was very cool, as usual, thank you. really. The champ fr platform 7 however was one of Brand New Feeling's protege, Fatalitee Phlow. Not bad, now to see what happens next...Dont trip.
we headed to good ol arab street after the show and dinner, met up the rest of the crew. Freaky Z, we love you for your antiques wei. seriously bro. lu gila mat!lol. gangsta 101. straight up! but that's that. nothing too important happened after. i'm too lazy to pen honestly. maybe naqib will continue. but yea..we made a move home the next day after bunking over at Alyph's. All in all, the weekend was hella tiring. but memorable as always. We've got some pics up. check it.
as fr Akeem, welcome to Flow Fam bro. Shit aint the same after this. You'll know what i mean.
(and to the rest of you who dont know what the hell Flow Fam or 22s be....soon enough peeps, soon enough).
22s up!
oh, btw, our myspace caught a bloody bug. we'll be constructing a new account soon. will feed y'all on the updates! tune in to vox!
more pics in em galleries. stop stalkin you freaks!
you heard right!
Catch Dose Two doing a first time Flow Fam SG integrated set at singapore this weekend. Also on the entourage, The Rebel Scum will (you know this) be shocking some Singaporean system (in a good way). Something you wont wanna miss. details below. to all our brethrens across the border, KL is in the house!
Lion City Wake Up!
honestly, It's been awhile since we've been in the presence of so many classic hiphop heads in the same time, hence the event yesterday marking Phlowtron's re-entry into Malaysian Hiphopmosphere was massive!
If you didnt make it. you missed out one helluva gathering at Planet Hollywoodn KL. Stylustiks, Reefa, KLG Sqwad(with the distinctfully identifiable MC Tho), Joe Flizz, K-Town, The Fab Cats, the return of Emcee David, Hunny Madu & The Basics(Flow Fam represent!), Sasi and SonaOne with yours truly, Dose Two sharing the same stage. NOW, when was the last time you've seen that much names being dropped on one single Malaysian hiphop event. It was fun...and it truly felt like hiphop was back on the block witha tinge of Merdeka.
But of course, the highlight of the evening was Phlowtron. get the album man. this one's fr keeps. Atom joined in for a one time classic finale, Phlowtechanology...god knows when you'll get to catch that line up doing that again.
all in all. the event was an uplifter. tnx fr everyone that came to show Dose Two and of course, Phlowtron some love. We truly appreciate things like that. Do mail us feedbacks for the songs you've heard, 'Gentlemanly Poets' and 'Freedom'. They're both from the upcoming album.
and yes, we did get a lil smashed catching up with some good good ppl after the show. =)
next time you see us around doing that, come by, drop a hello and join in on the fun - we believe the whole 'the more the merrier' notion.
